Under extreme condition such as competition use ,the stock Cylinder Block easily gets cracked ato a stud bolt underneath the Alternator by its own vibration.
Relocating Alternator with this kit can also prevent the problem and save your block.
Keep Alternator away from heat
When running a big turbo on JZ, which is very popular setup in competition use, the Alternator is directly exposed to the heat coming from the exhaust.
It’s ideal to relocate the Alternator to the Intake side to prevent heat damage.
